Welcome to the team, Mark Bowman!

The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians Economic Development Corporation (ATNI-EDC) is excited to welcome Mark Bowman to the team as our new Director of Financial Services.

As the Financial Services Director of ATNI-EDC, Mark will oversee the organization’s Community
Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and the State Small Business Credit Initiative’s Capital
and Technical Assistance consortiums with Tribes. Mark works with Tribal economic
development leaders to fund Tribal enterprise projects and Native small business owners to
grow their businesses. He also supports the Technical Services team, providing assistance to
many budding and growing Native entrepreneurs.

Prior to his work at ATNI-EDC, he was the Agricultural Coordinator for three years at North
Olympic Development Council (NODC), working with farmers in Clallam and Jefferson counties
helping them overcome hurdles to growth. Prior to joining NODC, Mark was a rural economic
development and lending consultant for 7 years having worked with 14 small businesses, non-
profits, Native CDFI’s and farmers. He has lived and worked in rural communities his entire life.
Agricultural, rural business, and First Nations’ lending was his focus for 17 years with the Farm
Credit System and Craft3.
In their spare time, Mark and his wife, Nancy, own and operate Bowman Farms, a goat and beef
ranch selling meat to individuals and through local grocers. Mark has a Bachelor’s of Science in
Agricultural Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He and Nancy have lived on the Olympic
Peninsula since 1999.

Please join us in giving Mark a warm welcome!
